Color Me Green 5K Trail Run
If you plan on crawling through the Queen City for Saint Paddy’s, why not run first? The 7th Annual Color Me Green 5K Trail Run takes place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16th. Participants run through the U.S. National Whitewater Center trail system while being bombarded with green dye. There’s nothing like being covered in green food coloring to get you in the Saint Patrick’s Day spirit! There are even awards given to the cleanest and greenest participants.

Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Charlotte Goes Green Festival
Dress in green and join in on the 23rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Charlotte Goes Green Festival on Saturday, March 16th! The Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. at N. Tryon St. and 9th Street in uptown Charlotte and marches south to 3rd Street, ending on Caldwell. Watch pipe and drum bands, musical groups, police and fire fighters, and anyone else celebrating the holiday, as they march through Charlotte.
The Charlotte Goes Green Festival will take place on S. Tyron Street between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The event features Irish music, dancers, bagpipers, vendors, children’s amusements and lots of food and drink! The festival is free to attend. For more information visit charlottestpatsday.com.
Leprechaun Trek
Bring the kids and join in on the search for a mischievous leprechaun and his pot of gold at The Schiele Museum of Natural History on Sunday, March 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Follow a trail of shamrocks hidden throughout the museum to find the leprechaun’s stash of goodies!

Pawty at the Dog Bar
Head down to the Dog Bar on March 16th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. to party with some giant fuzzy friends! The Dog Bar will have drink specials, food, and save the best for last, Great Danes! Four Dogs Pet Supplies and Grandma Lucy’s will also be at the event.

Latta Plantation Celtic Festival
The two-day 7th Annual Celtic Festival takes place on Saturday, March 16th at 10:00 a.m. through Sunday, March 17th until 4:00 p.m. The event includes authentic Celtic music, traditional Irish and Scottish dancers, Celtic warriors, history encampments, weavers, spinners, blacksmiths, food trucks, whiskey tastings, and if that’s not enough, a beer garden!

World’s Largest Pub Crawl
On Saturday, March 16th from 12 to 10 p.m., uptown Charlotte will be painted in green at the 19th Annual Rich & Bennett’s St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl. Participants travel from all over the world, even from Ireland to the Queen City, to join in on the World’s Largest Pub Crawl.
